Leading Russian firm Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners has hired the managing partner and co-founder of rival Moscow firm Liniya Prava, who joins alongside a nine-lawyer capital markets team.
Dmitriy Glazounov will head Egorov’s banking and finance and capital markets practice in Moscow.
Prior to co-founding Liniya Prava, Glazounov held senior positions with the Federal Commission of the Securities Market of Russia and the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending OJSC.
The team comes with experience in providing advice on complex financial transactions in securitisation and project finance, including foreign-issued securities placed in the Russian Federation and foreign currency bonds, as well as corporate and debt restructuring.
Glazounov has led on major transactions including advising the Bank of Moscow on one of the biggest loan pools in the Russian financial market. His key clients include BNP Paribas, Morgan Stanley, Citibank, Petrocommerce Bank, VTB Capital, Renaissance Capital, VEB Capital, ZENITH Bank, Credit Europe Bank CJSC, the Housing Finance Bank, the Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending OJSC.
