In-house: DWF, Eversheds, Addleshaws and Clydes win places on Tata Chemicals inaugural panel

DWF, Eversheds, Addleshaw Goddard and Clyde & Co have been awarded places on Tata Chemicals Europe’s first panel following a review led by the company’s general counsel Phil Davies, the legal and estates manager Sally Evans and a team from external adviser GC Hub.

The panel review was kicked off in October and the appointments will run for three years. It is understood the salt producer has used some of the firms previously on a more informal basis.

Both DWF and Eversheds were appointed on a full-service basis, including major projects. Addleshaws will also handle major projects for the company as well as competition matters.

While Clydes will provide support on health and safety and environment matters, specialist commercial property and property litigation company Land Law will advise on real estate, with fellow North-West firm Myerson taking responsibility for employment matters.

External advisers Nigel Goldsworthy, Chris Howe and Richard Fleetwood from GC Hub helped to run the review and will continue to support the operation of the panel.

Tata Chemicals Europe is a division of Indian headquartered Tata Group, and is one of Europe’s leading providers of sodium carbonate, salt and sodium bicarbonate and other products.

Other companies to recently review their panels include Prudential Investment arm M&G real estate, which appointed Hogan Lovells, Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co and CMS Cameron McKenna earlier this month, and Coca-Cola Enterprises UK which selected Ashurst, RPC, Shoosmiths, and Lewis Silkin for its national panel.
