This chart plots how well our 51 ‘survivor’ firms from the orginal LB100 have performed over the past twenty years.
It plots how much each firm managed to increase both profits and turnover by on a compound rate each year for the past two decades.
All the survivor firms have been relatively strong performers, so our baseline is fairly high because on average each survivor firm managed to grow profits by 7% and revenues by 9% a year for the past twenty years.
The Magic Circle are particularly strong performers, but Withers, Clyde & Co and Wragge & Co also emerge as stars of the past twenty years. The stragglers are Penningtons, Manches, LG, Bevan Brittan and Nabarro that all saw turnover and profits rise at a lower rate than their peers.
